Taikai means seminar in Japanese, and within the
Bujinkan, Taikai refers to the seminars conducted by Hatsumi sensei
outside of Japan. Hatsumi Sensei would travel extensively every year,
and all Bujinkan members were encouraged to participate to get a better
understanding of sensei’s teaching. Unfortunately Hatsumi Sensei
no longer travels abroad, but students are encouraged to look up the
hosts of the various taikai and buy video of them as a second best to
having been there at the time.
